Trauma Informed Practices

Educators are increasingly aware that Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and other sources of Trauma and Toxic Stress can have a big impact on how students show up at school. We know that schools should take action to support students who have experienced trauma - but what exactly does that mean? This presentation will translate the science on ACEs, trauma, and toxic stress so attendees understand how they affect children and what the most important universal strategies are for supporting students who have been impacted by trauma.
