Adult SEL Series: Empathy for Equity

Doesn’t the world just need more empathy? Yes, but can empathy by itself make schools a healthier place? When does empathy lead to compassion and what too often gets in the way of it inspiring positive action? Empathy can be a powerful tool for increasing equity – if we learn what makes it work. In this webinar, you’ll learn about the science of empathy, why it can fail and what we can do to harness the power of empathy to create relationships with our students and help them learn to use empathy to create inclusive classroom and school environments. This webinar will combine science-based insights with practical strategies and tools.
